These are the steps on how to run School Management System In PHP Open Source

• Step 1: Download Source Code

  First, find the downloadable source code below and click to start downloading the source code file.
  

• Step 2: Extract File

  Next, after finished to download the file, go to file location and right click the file and click extract.
  

• Step 3: Copy Project Folder

  Next, copy the project folder and paste it to C:\xampp\htdocs.
  

• Step 4: Open Xampp

  Next, open xampp and start the apache and mysql.
  

• Step 5: Create Database

  Next, click any browser and type to the URL localhost/phpmyadmin and create database.
  

• Step 6: Import Database

  Next, click the created database and click import to the right tab and click choose file and import the sql file inside the download folder.
  

• Step 7: Execute Project

  Final, type to the URL localhost/sms

 

 

How to Run PHP Code Using XAMPP

Follow the below steps to run your PHP code or project using the XAMPP server.

Step 1:  Install XAMPP

The first step is to install XAMPP onto your computer. it is very easy to install XAMPP. Just visit the official website to download XAMPP.

Apache Friends: https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html

On this site you can see XAMPP for Windows, Linux and OS X. Where you can download XAMPP based on your computer OS and after downloading install it.

Step 2: Open XAMPP control panel

After installing XAMPP on to your PC the next step is to start the Apache server and MySQL.

The control panel XAMPP which is something like this.

To launch Apache service and MySQL service, click on the Start button. if you want to stop any of the services at any time you can click on stop button in XAMPP control panel.

Step 3: Executing Project

Once the Apache and MySQL services are started and running in the background. Now extract the project zip file which you have downloaded from our site.

After extracting you should see the folder which contains all the code and related files of the project that you have downloaded.

Copy this folder and navigate to xampp folder (which is basically located in C drive) and inside this folder (xampp) find the htdocs folder and paste the project folder into this htdocs folder

In my case, the path is something like this C:xampphtdocs

After the project folder is successfully copied to the specified location on your computer.  Then go to your browser (Chrome) and type in URL field:  localhost/ FOLDER NAME and then hit enter.

If the project folder name is “Criminal_Mini_Project” then type in URL field: localhost/ Criminal_Mini_Project and hit enter. That’s it your project will start running.

Backend:

To start any kind of project in PHP you need to create a table in PhpMyAdmin.

To create a table in PhpMyAdmin first you have to create a database.

So first of all i am going to show you how to create a database in PhpMyAdmin. Please follow the below step to easily create a database PhpMyAdmin.

Step 1

First of all start your XAMPP or WAMPP server. Then go to the link bar of your browser and type localhost/phpmyadmin and click enter.Then you find a page like this

Then click on the new button that is available on the sidebar of that page.

Step 2

After click on the new button you find a page like that

Here put a name of your own choice on the create database field and click on the create button and you get a successful message on the screen that you create database successfully and will appear in the database list.

Now i am going to show you how to create a table in PhpMyAdmin under the database that i have create currently.

Note: You can’t create table if you not have a database so first create database.

Step 3

Click on the database name in which under you create a table.After click on the database name you find a page like that.

Here you have two option to create table first one is using structure and second one is using SQL.If you want to create table in structure option then put your table name on the create table name field and choose columns and click on the go button.

If you want to create a table by writing SQL Query simply click on the SQL button on the page and write your query and click on the go button.

If your SQL query is correct you find a page like that.
